Discover Card, Rand McNally, and many others. Public sector organizations served
include the City of Chicago and numerous other municipalities, the Metropolitan Water
Reclamation District, and federal agencies such as DOD, OPM, FAA, and EPA.
Performance Management/Performance Appraisal has been one major
focus. He has pioneered in the development of new techniques, designing systems that
are reflective of today's management philosophies.
Training Needs Analysis is a current emphasis, with a focus on
developing methods that match employee skill gaps and training. He has written and
lectured extensively on Return-on-Investment (ROI) forecasting techniques that allow
organizations to increase the impact of employee development and spend their training
resources more wisely. The same techniques allow employees to be more successful
"self-managing" their development.
Completed compensation projects include job evaluation, technical
audits, comparable worth studies, and innovative systems design in conjunction with task
forces.
Employee opinion surveys and organizational diagnosis are also a
specialty. Utilizing an updated model he originally developed for his doctoral
dissertation research, he is able to help organizations understand what it is required to
achieve high performance and high employee satisfaction simultaneously.
Dr. Graber also assists organizations with their employee selection
practices. He has developed innovative selection tools using assessment centers,
supple-mental employment applications, testing, and behavioral interviews.
Dr. Graber taught 5 years at the University of Illinois at Chicago
in the MBA program. He has also taught at Northwestern and Roosevelt University.
He
writes for a variety of publications and he speaks frequently to local and national
groups.
